The segments interlock with each adjacent segment in a manner that prevents uplifts from segment to segment, thereby eliminating raising edges that cause pedestrians to trip.
When installing on slopes, begin the laying from the lower end of the slope which should have a kerb.
If being used for vehicular traffic, ensure that the edge where the vehicles run onto the Stable Drive is flush with adjacent ground or pavement and has a kerb.
For pedestrian areas the sheets can simply be left and filled. Edging is not essential but is does give a good finish to the area.
Kerb stones may also be necessary along the side of an installation where regular vehicular use is planned to prevent lateral movement.
