An old apple that comes from Sussex. It is coloured a warm russet shade, a comfortable looking apple with a special flavour that makes it distinctive and distinguished. It is picked during late September or October and is best eaten by the end of the year. Rootstock MM106 (Semi-vigorous) - up to 3-5m in height - larger, robust tree for grassed orchards, not suitable for small gardens, may need support for 5 years.
