Prunus persica 'Michelini' (Peach)
Common name: Michelini Peach
Description: This vigorous and hardy peach variety produces abundant crops of medium to large, round fruits measuring 7-8cm in diameter. The fruits display an attractive pinkish-red blush over a light yellow background, creating a beautiful colour contrast on the tree. The flesh is white, sweet, and deliciously fragrant with good taste quality, making it excellent for fresh eating. The tree produces typical peach blossoms in spring - clusters of pink flowers that appear before the leaves emerge, creating a spectacular early-season display. Fruits ripen in mid-August, providing a late-season harvest when many other stone fruits have finished.
