A garden-worthy deciduous herbaceous perennial, commonly known as Black widow,, easy to establish and generous in flower, grown for its white flowers in summer.
It grows to around 0.6m tall with a spread of 0.5m. Happy in partial to light shade on most soils, and suits most soils from well-drained to damp. Fully hardy throughout the UK and the flowers are a good nectar source for bees.
