Spiraea japonica 'Goldflame'
Spiraea japonica 'Goldflame'
Common name: Goldflame Spirea
Description: This outstanding spirea cultivar offers exceptional foliage colour that changes dramatically throughout the seasons. The new spring growth emerges in brilliant shades of orange-red and bronze-gold, creating a spectacular fiery display. As the season progresses, the foliage matures to bright golden-yellow with hints of green, maintaining strong colour through summer. In mid-summer, flat clusters of rose-pink flowers appear, creating an attractive contrast against the golden foliage. In autumn, the leaves develop warm orange and red tints before falling. The naturally compact, rounded habit requires minimal pruning and creates excellent impact in mixed borders, as a low hedge, or in containers. 'Goldflame' is perfect for adding vibrant, changing colour to the garden throughout the growing season.
