Common name: Japanese maple
Description: A small, vase-shaped maple broadening with age, with deeply cut leaves that emerge purple-red in spring, darken to a deep maroon-red through summer, then turn bright red in autumn.
Other benefits: fine seasonal colour, excellent specimen or focal-point plant, good for borders and large containers
