Description: Agave azurea is a striking large agave producing a bold, open rosette of intensely blue-grey leaves with toothed margins and a stout terminal spine. The exceptional blue colouring sets it apart from many agaves and makes it a dramatic focal point in Mediterranean-style, gravel, or desert-themed plantings. It is a robust, vigorous species that develops into a commanding specimen, particularly effective against a warm wall or as the centrepiece of a large container arrangement.
