Agave xylonacantha
Description: Agave xylonacantha is a bold, medium-sized agave producing a spreading rosette of grey-green to blue-green leaves armed with prominent lateral teeth and a stout terminal spine. The distinctive serrated margins give the plant a fierce, sculptural character well suited to Mediterranean-style or gravel gardens. Like most agaves, it is monocarpic, eventually sending up a tall flower spike before setting seed.
