An excellent evergreen large shrub or small tree, commonly known as Killarney strawberry tree, for structure and long-term presence, prized for its sweetly scented white blooms.
Growing to around 2m tall by 2m wide at 10 years. Happy in full sun, though it tolerates some shade on most soils, and grows well in reasonably drained soil and is drought-tolerant once established. Notable for red fruits. Reliably hardy across most of the UK and valuable for wildlife, attracting bees and birds.
