Catalpa bignonioides 'Aurea'

A first-rate deciduous tree offering real character in the landscape, valued for its fragrant white flowers.

Expect it to reach around 3m tall by 3m wide at 10 years. Happy in full sun, though it tolerates some shade on most soils, and grows well in reasonably drained soil. Notable for good autumn colour and attractive green bark. Fully hardy throughout the UK and valuable for wildlife, attracting bees and birds. Holds an RHS Award of Garden Merit.
