A reliable evergreen shrub, commonly known as California lilac, well suited to UK gardens, grown for its blue flowers in spring, summer.
Growing to around 2m tall by 1.5m wide at 10 years. Happy in full sun on most soils, and needs good drainage. Hardy in most UK gardens and the flowers are a good nectar source for bees. Holds an RHS Award of Garden Merit.
