Cercis canadensis Eternal Flame ='Nc2016-2'

Common name: Eternal Flame Eastern Redbud

Description: This spectacular cultivar of the Eastern Redbud offers dramatic foliage that emerges in spring with vibrant orange-red to burgundy tones. As the heart-shaped leaves mature, they transform through shades of orange and gold before settling into a deep green in summer. The tree produces the characteristic lavender-pink pea-like flowers directly on branches in early spring before the leaves emerge. 'Eternal Flame' creates a stunning focal point in the garden with its brilliant display of changing colours throughout the growing season. The autumn foliage returns to golden yellow hues before leaf drop.
