A handsome evergreen tree, commonly known as Camphor laurel, that makes a fine specimen in the garden, grown for its yellow flowers in summer.
Reaching around 5m tall by 3m wide at 10 years. Happy in sun or partial shade on most soils, and grows well in reasonably drained soil. Notable for black fruits. Hardy in sheltered gardens, benefiting from a warm wall or winter protection in colder spots.
