A versatile evergreen shrub, commonly known as Cabbage tree of New Zealand, that earns its place in borders and mixed plantings, grown for its white flowers in summer.
Reaching around 2.5m tall by 1m wide at 10 years. Happy in sun or partial shade on most soils, and needs good drainage. Notable for white fruits. Hardy in sheltered gardens, benefiting from a warm wall or winter protection in colder spots.
