Cornus controversa
A handsome deciduous tree, commonly known as Wedding cake tree, that makes a fine specimen in the garden, notable for fine autumn tints.
Reaching around 3m tall by 3m wide at 10 years. Happy in partial to light shade on most soils, and suits most soils from well-drained to damp. It produces white flowers in spring, summer, with attractive grey bark and blue fruits. Reliably hardy across most of the UK.
