Cornus kousa subsp. chinensis 'Robert's Selectie'
A handsome deciduous large shrub or small tree, commonly known as Kousa, that makes a fine specimen in the garden, prized for its autumn colour.
Reaching around 2m tall by 2m wide at 10 years. It is best in full sun, though it tolerates some shade, in acid to neutral soils, and grows well in reasonably drained soil. It produces white flowers in spring, summer, with red fruits. Reliably hardy across most of the UK and the fruits provide food for birds.
