Description: Aster x frikartii 'Alpha Dark Purple Space' produces a generous flush of rich deep-purple daisy flowers with golden yellow centres from midsummer through to mid-autumn. This compact, disease-resistant variety forms a neat, bushy mound of dark green foliage and is one of the longest-flowering asters available. It is an outstanding late-season perennial for mixed borders, bringing rich jewel tones at a time when summer colour is beginning to wane.
