Description: Blechnum penna-marina 'Volcano' is a compact, ground-hugging evergreen fern producing attractive, glossy, ladder-like fronds that emerge with coppery-red tones before maturing to deep, lustrous green. This low-growing variety is excellent as ground cover in shaded gardens and rockeries, or as an attractive edging plant along path edges. Tough and unfussy, it thrives in moist, shaded conditions and provides year-round interest with its distinctive, architectural foliage.
