Description: The Kumquat is a charming compact evergreen citrus producing masses of intensely fragrant white flowers followed by small, oval, bright orange fruits that are eaten whole — skin and all — with a delicious sweet-sharp flavour. One of the most ornamental of all the edible citrus, the combination of glossy dark green foliage, fragrant blossom, and jewel-like fruit makes it an outstanding patio or conservatory plant. It is one of the hardier citrus and can be moved outdoors to a warm, sunny, sheltered spot in summer.
