Freesia 'White River'

Description: Freesia 'White River' is an elegant cormous perennial that brings sophisticated fragrance and pristine white blooms to South England gardens throughout summer. This hybrid variety produces graceful, upright stems bearing multiple funnel-shaped flowers with a delightfully sweet scent that carries across borders and patios. The narrow, sword-shaped green foliage provides attractive vertical structure even before flowering commences. 'White River' thrives in warm, sheltered positions with good drainage, making it ideal for South England's variable spring and early summer conditions. The plant's compact, clump-forming habit suits borders, containers, and cutting gardens equally well. Its reliability and ease of cultivation, combined with exceptional fragrance and cut-flower longevity, make it a rewarding choice for gardeners seeking to add sensory appeal to their outdoor spaces. The Delta River Series represents modern freesia breeding, offering improved garden performance over older varieties whilst maintaining the classic perfume that has made freesias beloved for generations.
