Fuchsia 'Mrs Popple'
Common name: Fuchsia 'Mrs Popple'
Description: This outstanding hardy fuchsia has been cherished in British gardens since 1899 and remains one of the finest and most reliable hardy fuchsias available. The elegant single flowers feature scarlet-red sepals and deep violet-purple petals with prominent red stamens, creating a striking bicolour effect. The blooms are produced in exceptional abundance from early summer until the first frosts, providing months of continuous colour. The medium-green foliage forms a vigorous, upright bushy habit that fills space quickly and provides excellent structure. This is one of the hardiest fuchsias, reliably surviving British winters and growing vigorously from the base each spring. The combination of hardiness, floriferous nature, and classic good looks makes this invaluable for mixed borders, cottage gardens, or creating informal hedges in milder areas.
