Lupinus 'Legendary Blue Shades' (Legendary Series)

Common name: Lupin 'Legendary Blue Shades'

Description: This outstanding cultivar from the Legendary Series produces spectacular spires of flowers in beautiful shades of blue, from soft sky-blue through to deeper violet-blue tones, often with attractive bicolour effects. The tall, densely packed flower spikes appear in early summer, creating a classic cottage garden display that epitomises the English summer border. The Legendary Series represents a significant breakthrough in lupin breeding, offering greatly improved disease resistance, particularly to the troublesome lupin aphid, along with exceptional vigour and flowering performance. The attractive palmate foliage forms neat clumps, and plants often produce a second flush of flowers if deadheaded promptly after the first flowering. This is an excellent choice for creating height and impact in sunny borders, cottage gardens, or prairie-style plantings.
