Petunia 'Cascadias Rim Cherry'
Common name: Petunia
Description: Petunia 'Cascadias Rim Cherry' is a vigorous trailing petunia bearing a profusion of trumpet-shaped flowers in rich cherry-red with a distinctive, contrasting paler rim, creating an eye-catching bicolour effect. The spreading, cascading habit makes it ideal for hanging baskets, tall patio pots, and window boxes, where the brightly coloured flowers trail freely throughout summer until the first frosts of autumn.
Other benefits: long flowering season, attractive rim bicolour pattern, vigorous trailing habit, excellent for baskets and patio containers, easy to grow
Wildlife attraction: Bees and hummingbird hawk-moths are attracted to the flowers.
Height & spread (approx.) at maturity: 20–25cm x 30–45cm (trailing)
Position: Full sun; needs a bright, open position for best performance.
Soil pH: Neutral; well-drained, fertile compost.
Moisture: Water generously and regularly; containers dry out quickly. Feed weekly with a high-potash fertiliser from June onwards.
Winter hardiness: Frost-tender half-hardy annual; plant out from mid-May once all risk of frost has passed and enjoy until the first frosts of autumn.
