Photinia x fraseri 'Red Robin'
Common name: Red Robin
Description: Photinia x fraseri 'Red Robin' is one of the most popular and widely planted evergreen hedging shrubs in the UK, and with good reason. Its brilliant scarlet-red new growth is produced in spectacular flushes in spring and again after trimming, providing vivid colour over an extended season. As the leaves mature they turn glossy, deep green, creating an attractive two-tone effect. In spring, clusters of small white flowers attract pollinators. Fast-growing and easy to maintain, it makes a superb formal hedge or large specimen shrub.
