Description: Salvia officinalis 'Growers Friend' is a robust and flavoursome culinary sage producing aromatic, textured grey-green leaves that are indispensable in the kitchen for use with poultry, stuffings, and a wide range of dishes. In early summer, upright spikes of attractive deep violet-blue flowers are produced above the foliage, providing an extended flowering period and attracting bees and butterflies in abundance. A semi-evergreen subshrub that is hardy, drought tolerant, and easy to maintain with an annual trim after flowering.
