Elaeagnus angustifolia - 24-26 cm

An excellent deciduous large shrub or small tree, commonly known as Oleaster, for structure and long-term presence, prized for its sweetly scented yellow blooms.

Growing to around 3m tall by 3m wide at 10 years. Happy in full sun, though it tolerates some shade on most soils, and needs good drainage and is drought-tolerant once established. Notable for good autumn colour and orange fruits. Fully hardy throughout the UK and valuable for wildlife, attracting bees and birds.
