Empathy After Plant Tree and Shrubs Biofertiliser

Description: Empathy After Plant Tree & Shrub Biofertiliser is a naturally derived granular plant feed from PlantWorks UK, specifically formulated to support the long-term health and vigour of all trees and shrubs. Unlike conventional fertilisers that simply feed the plant, this innovative biofertiliser works by enriching the soil itself with a carefully selected blend of beneficial microbes, mycorrhizal fungi, and natural organic matter including composted plant material, seaweed extract, and plant-derived amino acids. Together these ingredients work in harmony to improve nutrient absorption, strengthen root development, and build lasting soil vitality.

Newly planted trees and shrubs in particular benefit greatly during their first year of establishment, when root systems and their vital fungal partnerships are still developing. By introducing mycorrhizal fungi and beneficial bacteria directly into the root zone, the biofertiliser helps new plants establish more quickly, develop stronger roots, and become more resilient to environmental stresses such as drought, pests, and disease. The result is more vigorous growth, healthier foliage, and more abundant flowering throughout the season.

For container-grown plants and established garden specimens, regular applications twice yearly as a top dressing maintain optimum soil health and keep plants performing at their best year-round.

How to use:

Garden plants: Apply 1–2 handfuls (25–50g) around the base of the plant, lightly worked into the soil, and water in well. For larger established plants, apply 2 handfuls (50g) per square metre under the canopy.

Container plants and topiary: Apply 2–3 handfuls per plant twice yearly. Once per year, remove 5–10cm of soil from the top of the pot and replace with fresh compost, adding 1–2 handfuls of biofertiliser when doing so.

When to apply: In spring at the first signs of new growth, throughout summer as required, and as an autumn top dressing to support plants through winter.
