A dependable evergreen herbaceous perennial that brings colour and form to borders, grown for its pink flowers in spring.
It grows to around 0.4m tall with a spread of 0.6m. It is best in partial to light shade, in acid to neutral soils, and copes well in dry shade. Reliably hardy across most of the UK and the flowers are a good nectar source for bees.
