Euphorbia characias subsp. wulfenii

A fine evergreen herbaceous perennial, commonly known as Large Meditteranean spurge, for cottage-style or mixed plantings, grown for its green flowers in spring, summer.

It grows to around 0.75m tall with a spread of 1.2m. Happy in full sun, though it tolerates some shade on most soils, and needs good drainage and is drought-tolerant once established. Hardy in most UK gardens and the flowers are a good nectar source for bees.
