Fargesia nitida 'Black Pearl' (Bamboo)
Common name: Black Pearl Bamboo
Description: This elegant clump-forming bamboo showcases distinctive dark purple-black canes that create a striking architectural presence in the garden. The narrow, graceful leaves are bright green and dance delicately in the slightest breeze, creating a wonderful rustling sound. Unlike running bamboos, 'Black Pearl' forms tight, well-behaved clumps that won't spread aggressively. The young culms emerge green before maturing to their characteristic dark colouration. This hardy bamboo provides excellent year-round structure and makes a superb screening plant or specimen feature.
