Fatsia japonica
An attractive evergreen shrub that performs well in a range of garden settings, grown for its green flowers in autumn.
Expect it to reach around 2m tall by 2m wide at 10 years. Happy in partial to light shade on most soils, and grows well in reasonably drained soil. Reliably hardy across most of the UK and the flowers are a good nectar source for bees. Holds an RHS Award of Garden Merit.
