Common name: Variegated Japanese Aralia
Description: This striking evergreen shrub features large, glossy, palmate leaves dramatically splashed with cream and white variegation. The bold foliage creates an exotic, tropical appearance whilst remaining fully hardy in British conditions. In autumn, the plant produces clusters of creamy-white spherical flower heads followed by black berries. The architectural form and substantial size make this an excellent specimen plant for creating focal points in shaded areas. The variegation is most pronounced in partial shade.
