A reliable evergreen shrub, commonly known as Checkerberry, well suited to UK gardens, notable for fine autumn tints.

Growing to around 0.5m tall by 1m wide at 10 years. It is best in partial to light shade, in acid soils, and grows well in reasonably drained soil. Notable for red fruits. Reliably hardy across most of the UK.

Great year-round ground cover, dwarf shrub with dark green foliage turning bronze in autumn. Small pinky white flowers appear in summer, followed by plump bright red berries, a stunning contrast to the foliage. Grows to a height/spread of 0.5m x 1m.
