A versatile evergreen shrub that earns its place in borders and mixed plantings, grown for its purple flowers in spring, summer.

Reaching around 0.7m tall by 0.7m wide at 10 years. It is best in full sun, though it tolerates some shade, in alkaline to neutral soils, and grows well in reasonably drained soil. Hardy in most UK gardens and valuable for wildlife, attracting bees and butterflies.
