Helleborus foetidus Wesker Flisk Group - 1.5 litre

A garden-worthy evergreen herbaceous perennial, easy to establish and generous in flower, prized for its sweetly scented green blooms.

It grows to around 0.55m tall with a spread of 0.45m. It is best in partial to light shade, in alkaline to neutral soils, and copes well in dry shade. Fully hardy throughout the UK and the flowers are a good nectar source for bees.

This is a hellebore with supremely elegant foliage. Its long, slim, leaves are shiny with a slightly grey patination, sometimes flushed pink and whorl round the ruddy stalks. The flowers appear in heavy, pale-green clusters, often hanging down under their weight.
