A reliable deciduous shrub, commonly known as Rose of Sharon, well suited to UK gardens, prized for its sweetly scented white blooms.
Growing to around 1.5m tall by 1.5m wide at 10 years. It is best in full sun, in alkaline to neutral soils, and grows well in reasonably drained soil and is drought-tolerant once established. Reliably hardy across most of the UK. Holds an RHS Award of Garden Merit.
