A fine deciduous herbaceous perennial, commonly known as Plantain Iily, for cottage-style or mixed plantings, grown for its purple flowers in summer.
It grows to around 0.4m tall with a spread of 1m. Happy in partial to light shade on most soils, and grows well in reasonably drained soil. Fully hardy throughout the UK.
