Hydrangea paniculata Little Lime ='Jane'
Common name: Little Lime Hydrangea
Description: This compact deciduous shrub produces an abundance of cone-shaped flower panicles from midsummer through to autumn. The blooms emerge in a fresh lime-green colour in July, gradually transitioning to creamy white as they mature, before taking on beautiful pink and burgundy tones in autumn as temperatures cool. The sturdy stems hold the flower heads upright without flopping, even after rain, making this an excellent low-maintenance choice. The dark green foliage provides an attractive backdrop to the showy blooms and turns yellow in autumn before leaf drop. 'Little Lime' is perfectly proportioned for smaller gardens, containers, or the front of borders, offering all the impact of larger paniculate hydrangeas in a more manageable size. The flowers are excellent for cutting and can be dried for winter arrangements.
