Jasminum officinale

A versatile semi-evergreen shrub that earns its place in borders and mixed plantings, prized for its sweetly scented white blooms.

It grows to around 3m tall with a spread of 3m. Happy in full sun, though it tolerates some shade on most soils, and needs good drainage and is drought-tolerant once established. Reliably hardy across most of the UK and the flowers are a good nectar source for bees.
