Juglans regia

A handsome deciduous tree, commonly known as Walnut, that makes a fine specimen in the garden, notable for fine autumn tints.

Reaching around 8m tall by 5m wide at 10 years. Happy in full sun, though it tolerates some shade on most soils, and grows well in reasonably drained soil. Notable for attractive grey bark and beige fruits. Fully hardy throughout the UK and the fruits provide food for birds.
