Common name: Munstead Lavender

Description: This compact English lavender cultivar produces dense spikes of deep purple-blue flowers above silvery-grey aromatic foliage. Named after Gertrude Jekyll's famous garden, 'Munstead' is prized for its neat, compact habit and reliable flowering performance. The intensely fragrant flowers bloom from mid-summer and can be harvested for potpourri or culinary use. The evergreen foliage provides year-round structure and releases its classic lavender scent when brushed against. This variety is particularly well-suited to formal herb gardens and low hedging.
