Magnolia 'Genie'
Common name: Magnolia 'Genie'
Description: Magnolia 'Genie' is a superb compact deciduous magnolia from New Zealand that has become one of the most popular magnolias for UK gardens in recent years. It produces rich, deep burgundy-purple goblet-shaped flowers with remarkable freedom, beginning to flower from a very young age — often while still in the pot — and continuing to produce sporadic flushes through the season. The compact, upright habit makes it ideal for smaller gardens, and its vigour and reliability are impressive for such a deeply coloured variety. A genuinely outstanding modern magnolia.
