Description: Magnolia 'Heaven Scent' is a vigorous deciduous magnolia of the Gresham hybrid group, producing large, elegant goblet-shaped flowers in rich pink-purple on the exterior fading to pale blush-pink and white within, with a strong and sweet fragrance that justifies its evocative name. The flowers are produced in remarkable profusion on bare branches in mid to late spring — slightly later than many magnolias, which reduces the risk of frost damage. It forms an upright, pyramidal tree and can flower from a young age, making it one of the most rewarding magnolias for UK garden conditions.
