An attractive evergreen shrub, commonly known as Spine-free mahonia, that performs well in a range of garden settings, grown for its yellow flowers in winter, autumn.
Expect it to reach around 1m tall by 1.5m wide at 10 years. It is best in sun or partial shade, in neutral soils, and grows well in reasonably drained soil. Notable for blue fruits. Reliably hardy across most of the UK.
