Mahonia nitens 'Cabaret'

A versatile evergreen shrub, commonly known as Shiny barberry, that earns its place in borders and mixed plantings, grown for its yellow flowers in summer, autumn.

Reaching around 1m tall by 0.8m wide at 10 years. Happy in partial to light shade on most soils, and grows well in reasonably drained soil. Notable for blue fruits. Hardy in most UK gardens and the flowers are a good nectar source for bees. Holds an RHS Award of Garden Merit.
