Mahonia eurybracteata subsp. ganpinensis 'Soft Caress'

A reliable evergreen shrub, commonly known as Spine-free mahonia, well suited to UK gardens, grown for its yellow flowers in summer, autumn.

Growing to around 1m tall by 1m wide at 10 years. Happy in partial to light shade on most soils, and grows well in reasonably drained soil. Notable for blue fruits and ornamental red stems. Hardy in most UK gardens and the flowers are a good nectar source for bees.
