The quintessential English apple, raised in Buckinghamshire around 1825, Cox's Orange Pippin remains one of Britain's favourite eating apple.

This moderately vigorous tree produces medium-sized fruit with distinctive orange-red striping over a yellow-green background. The exceptionally aromatic flesh offers a perfect balance of sweetness and acidity with complex, honeyed flavours.

Spring brings masses of pale pink blossoms, creating a spectacular display. Whilst somewhat susceptible to scab and canker, proper care rewards gardeners with fruit of unparalleled eating quality that epitomises the English apple.
