A first-rate deciduous tree, commonly known as Crab apple, offering real character in the landscape, valued for its fragrant flowers.
Expect it to reach around 6m tall by 3m wide at 10 years. Happy in full sun, though it tolerates some shade on most soils, and grows well in reasonably drained soil. Notable for attractive grey bark and yellow fruits. Hardy in most conditions and valuable for wildlife, attracting bees and birds.
