An elegant deciduous ornamental grass bringing movement and texture to plantings, prized for its autumn colour.
It grows to around 1.5m tall with a spread of 1.2m. Happy in full sun, though it tolerates some shade on most soils, and grows well in reasonably drained soil and is drought-tolerant once established. It produces grey flowers in summer, autumn. Fully hardy throughout the UK and a useful plant for birds. Holds an RHS Award of Garden Merit.
