Description: 'Fegyvernekiana' is a compact, ornamental dwarf cultivar of white mulberry that forms a neat, dense, rounded mound of attractively lobed, glossy green leaves. Unlike fruiting mulberry cultivars it produces no berries, making it a clean and maintenance-friendly choice for topiary, containers, or structural planting schemes. Small, inconspicuous green catkin flowers appear in spring, and the foliage turns a pleasant clear yellow in autumn. Its naturally tight, self-contained habit makes it ideal for clipping into balls, lollipops, or other formal shapes.

Other benefits: no fruit mess, low maintenance, excellent for formal and topiary gardens, suitable for containers, provides year-round structure

Height & spread (approx.) at 10 years: 0.9–1.2m x 0.6–0.9m (dwarf and slow-growing)

Position: Full sun; best in an open, sunny position with some shelter from cold, drying winds.

Soil pH: Neutral; tolerant of most well-drained garden soils including sandy, loamy, and chalky types.

Moisture: Moderate; drought-tolerant once established, though regular watering in the first season helps establishment.

Winter hardiness: Fully hardy to -20°C (H6); suited to all parts of the UK.
